In this webinar, panelists Amy Morris, Sr. Director of ACH Network Rules at Nacha, and James Cook, Vice President of Product Management at Accelitas, explored how organizations can prepare for Nacha’s 2026 risk-management rules while reducing returns and unlocking new growth opportunities with real-time Account Ownership Validation (AOV).

These key takeaways from the webinar highlight the strategies financial institutions and payment providers need to reduce fraud, cut costs, and stay ahead of compliance requirements in the rapidly evolving ACH landscape.

  • Nacha’s 2026 Risk Rules: the panelists outlined what’s changing in March 2026, why the new rules matter, and what organizations should be doing now to stay compliant.

  • Existence vs. Ownership: an in-depth discussion of why verifying account ownership—not just existence—is critical to closing the fraud and compliance gap.

  • Where Traditional Methods Fall Short: the limitations of credentialed checks and manual workflows, and how they can increase risk and costs in today’s digital-first environment.

  • Real-Time AOV in Action: practical examples of how non-credentialed AOV reduces returns, prevents first-payment defaults, and enables access to near-prime, subprime, and thin-file markets.

  • Your 2026 Readiness Plan: actionable steps organizations can take now to strengthen compliance, reduce operational burdens, and enhance customer trust ahead of the Nacha deadline.

This webinar offers clear, actionable insights for financial institutions, lenders, and payment providers as they prepare for the future of ACH payments. By watching, you’ll gain the strategies you need to expand confidently, reduce risk, and deliver a better customer experience.
